Although you may, in general, browse our website without supplying any information, to participate in the services we provide it is necessary to provide us with information which may, in the course of our normal business be disclosed to third parties and may be used by them.

Carfast.com's Auction-Style Listing service is a venue that brings together buyers and sellers of vehicles. Because our principal business involves connecting buyers and sellers, it is a necessary part of our operation to collect information from users and transmit it to other parties.
In addition, we aim to provide for our users an enjoyable and personalized Internet experience. We collect information to facilitate such an experience by providing tools and utilities to make buying and selling cars as easy and smooth as possible, and to make the experience as relevant as possible to our users' preferences and interests.
We gather information in two ways: (1) information supplied by visitors to the site when they register as users, list a car for sale, bid on a vehicle, perform a search, enter a sweepstakes or other promotional contest, or initiate a transaction, and (2) tracking information gathered as visitors navigate through our website. 4. Information we collect
You may browse Carfast.com's Auction-Style Listing service anonymously without providing us with any information whatsoever. It is required, however, that you register to use some of our services. The registration process requires you to provide us with information about yourself and your interests in forms on our website. After registration, you are no longer anonymous to us.
Not all of the information we request is required. We always endeavor to make it clear which information is required by us to provide you with service, and which information you may provide at your option. If you wish to sell a car Auction-Style or if you want to bid for a car that interests you on our website, we will ask you to register as a user before you bid. To register, you must provide basic information about yourself.
We also ask sellers for information about the vehicle for sale and how the successful bidder can contact you.
If you bid or sell, we also collect information about your bidding and/or selling patterns and behavior. Any public information you include in an Auction-Style Listing may be available to anyone with Internet access.
Your email address will never be made available to anyone except the winning bidder of an auction you initiated (unless you, yourself include it in your Listing) or, conversely, to the seller of a vehicle you have bid for.
When you use Carfast.com's Auction-Style Listing service as a registered user, you remain anonymous. Your identity is revealed as buyer if you win a bid, or as a seller only to the winner at the end of the listing period.
If you have correspondence with our Customer Service Team, we may retain information about our exchanges in a customer file.
5. Sweepstakes, contests and other promotions
From time to time, we may offer sweepstakes, contests or other promotions on our website. If you enter a sweepstakes or promotional contest, we'll ask you to provide information about yourself (such as your name, address, and email address).
Among other things, we'll need this information to administer the contest, and to contact you if you win. We may share this information with any co-sponsor of the contest or sweepstakes, which we'll identify in the contest rules.
If you don't want us to collect the information requested in the contest or sweepstakes registration form or to provide it to co-sponsors, please do not enter the contest or sweepstakes.
6. Use of email addresses
If you provide us your email address, we'll send you, from time to time, offers and information we think may be of interest to you. We will also use your email address to send you notices about Listings you are bidding on or selling in. We may also use your email address to contact you to inquire about your experiences on our website.
After logging in, the system allows you to sign up for, or opt out of receiving all emails (that is: auction emails, Carfast.com Auction-Style emails and emails from partner marketing emails sent by us on behalf of third parties). If you subscribe to emails, we may track what you do with emails we send you after you have received them.
We may also use your email address to contact you to inquire about your experiences on our website.
We do not sell, swap, trade or rent lists of our users email addresses to third parties. We reserve the right to do so in the future, but will allow individuals to opt out of this process.
We may sometimes, however, let third parties include messaging in our emails to you. If you would rather not receive any of these emails, you may say so when you register as a user.
Carfast.com's Auction-Style Listing service offers its users a utility called "Email this car to a friend" through which you may send emails to your friends, letting them know about current Listings. (Not sure if we want that, as it would reveal the seller’s identity)
To make use of this utility, you must supply your own name and email address and that (or those) of your friend(s). This information will be used only to email a link to this vehicle on your behalf. We ask you to supply your name and email address only so that your friend does not think he or she is receiving 'spam.' Information gathered through this utility will not be stored, used for marketing purposes or sold to third parties.
Please only use the "Email this car to a friend" utility to send emails to people you know who will have an interest in the vehicle for sale. If anyone asks you not to send them such emails, please desist from doing so.
7. Territorial restrictions on users
To use Carfast.com's Auction-Style Listing service, you must be a legal U.S. resident, and agree to comply with all applicable local laws and rules regarding automotive purchases and sales, online conduct and privacy, as well as any locally applicable content restrictions.
8. Use of 'cookies'
To help us tailor our website to the needs and interests of our visitors, we keep track of the pages visited by our users by placing a 'cookie' (a small entry in a text file) on your computer's hard drive. The cookie contains an ID number that allows us to track the pages you've visited.
We aggregate this data with data on the pages visited by other users to track overall visitor traffic patterns. 12. Your use of others' information
Because Carfast.com's Auction-Style Listing service connects people who wish to buy and sell cars, sellers and winning bidders are given limited access to each other's contact information. Our Visitor Agreement requires that you use this information only for communications related to the sale of the vehicle concerned or any other purpose that the other party explicitly agrees to.
You may not store, use, transmit or cause to be transmitted this information. You also agree to make available to all users upon their request the information you have about them, and to delete it if requested by them.
13. Reviewing, updating and deleting your information
You can review, update or delete your profile at any time after you log into the system. When you make changes, we will implement them (including deleting your profile if requested) as soon as reasonably possible.
Please be aware, however, that we cannot always retrospectively delete information about your past activity on our website which may be required to resolve disputes or enforce our user agreement. In addition, for technical and legal reasons, we are unable to remove all historical information from back-up systems.
14. Links and features offered in conjunction with other providers
To make our website more valuable to our visitors, we feature some products and services that come from other providers. Our escrow, transportation & inspection services, for example, are made available through cooperative arrangements with companies that specialize in providing such services. 16. Security
Information we gather on our website is stored within Carfast.com-controlled databases (or databases hosted on our behalf) on servers maintained in protected environments.
We take every reasonable precaution to protect the security of your information. No physical or electronic security system, however, is impenetrable. We cannot guarantee the security of our servers or databases, nor can we guarantee that information you supply won't be intercepted while being transmitted to us over the Internet.
17. Protecting your own security
Please always keep secret your User Name and Password. Should you ever receive a notification from Carfast.com's Auction-Style Listing service or another user about a bid you did not place you should immediately advise our Security Department since this may be the first indication of fraudulent activity.
It may be possible for another person to acquire your User Name and Password if you bookmark certain pages on the Auction-Style Listing service, especially on a shared computer. We would strongly dissuade you from "bookmarking" any pages within the Auction-Style Listing service, and recommend that you log off, clear your browser's cache and close your browser after each session on a computer that is available to others.
